caprese tart
Given to me by a friend. Her version was yummier, but she used a homemade pie crust! It's a nice light lunch or side dish. I recommend using a block of cheese & NOT low-fat. The pre-grated & lowfat versions don't melt as well.

Ingredients
- 12 ounces fresh grated mozzerella
- 2-3 - sliced roma tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- - fresh basil
- - pepper
- 1 - unbaked pie shell
How To Make caprese tart

Step 1Place pie shell in pie plate.

Step 2Cover shell with a layer of cheese,basil, and pepper.

Step 3Layer with tomato slices & more pepper.

Step 4Repeat. End with layer of tomatoes & pepper.

Step 5Pour olive oil over the top.

Step 6Bake 45 minutes or until cheese is melted & tomatoes begin to shrivel.
