Here's a special side vegetable without a lot of work or expense and so tasty.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups 1/2 inch sliced carrots,fresh gives better results and color
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup jellied cranberry sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar, light
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

How To Make candied carrots

  • Step 1
    Cook Carrots in saucepan of boiling water just until tender 8-10 Minutes. Drain.
  • Step 2
    In a skillet combine butter,cranberry sauce,brown sugar and salt. Heat slowly and stir until cranberry sauce melts.
  • Step 3
    Add drained carrots; heat & stir occasionally, until nicely glazed on all carrots, about 5-8 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Garnish with fresh parsley if you like, I do and serve. Enjoy!
