cake salé - feta, oregano & olives cake

I made this savory cake so many times. It is excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and as a side dish or appetizer. Easy and very versatile! This bread-like cake is my favorite.

Ingredients

  • 3 - eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 3/4 cups cheddar cheese (i use kraft cheddar) (7 oz)
  • 1 3/4 cups feta cheese (7 oz)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons dried oregano
  • 1/2 cup black olives
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • - *this recipe is so versatile. you can chose the cheese that you prefer, cheddar, gruyere, emmental etc. also you can add sun dried tomatoes, green olives, basil etc.

How To Make cake salé - feta, oregano & olives cake

  • Step 1
    -In a bowl, mix together eggs and flour. -Add yeast, milk, salt and pepper, olive oil, oregano, black olives. -Add shredded cheddar cheese and cubed feta cheese, mix gently (try not to break the Feta).
  • Step 2
    -Pour the cake mix in a greased and floured loaf pan. -Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (355°F) for 50-55 minutes.
