  • 1
    small head of cabbage
  • 1 c
  • 1 1/2 stick
    unsalted butter meted and then divided
  • 1/4 tsp
    fresh black pepper
  • 1 can(s)
    10 oz. can of cream of chicken soup
  • 1/4 pkg
    hellman's mayonase
  • 1 c
    shredded chedder cheese
  • 1 pkg
    butter crackers such as ritz,crushed (sleeve}

How to Make Cabbage Casserole


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Put cabbage in a greased 9 inch baking dish
  3. Place onion on top
  4. pour melted butter on top,1/4 cup of this only.
  5. Add pepper
  6. In a mixing bowl,add the soup and mayo,mix very well.
  7. Spread evenly over the cabbage mixture
  8. In a mixing bowl,add remaining 1/2 cup of melted butter,cheese and crushed crackers.Sprinkle all over the top of casserole
  9. Bake uncovered about 45 minutes.
