Family loves this recipe. I never liked Brussels sprouts before. I think it may be the raisins & garlic that did it for me, & of course the bacon!!!

Ingredients

  • 1/3 pound maple bacon (costco has it) or regular bacon if you like. cut up in about 1 inch pieces.
  • 1 1/2 pounds brussels sprouts, fresh, cut off end, halved, washed
  • 3/4 cup golden raisins
  • 1 3/4 cups chicken stock box or canned
  • 2 tablespoons chopped garlic, fresh or in the jar will work
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

  • Step 1
Cook bacon over medium heat till crispy, about 10 min. Set bacon on a paper towel to absorb the fat.

  • Step 3
Add the brussel sprouts, salt & pepper to the pan. Brown slightly for about 5 min. Add the raisins & chicken stock. Lower heat, cover & simmer for about 10 min. Uncover stir & if dry, add a little more stock. Add the garlic & bacon & cook for 5 more min. Then serve.
