This Brussels sprouts recipe combines pan-sauteed Brussels sprouts with crispy bacon, garlic, and a drizzle of maple syrup. This delicious side dish goes well with roasted pork loin, roasted chicken, grilled steak, and pan-fried Polska Kielbasa.

Ingredients For brussels sprouts with bacon

  • 1/2 lb
    bacon chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter salted or unsalted
  • 1 1/2 lb
    brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • kosher salt to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 Tbsp
    maple syrup

How To Make brussels sprouts with bacon

    Cook the chopped bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and reserve the bacon grease in the skillet.

    Melt the butter in the same skillet over medium heat. Add the Brussels sprouts and stir to coat them with the bacon grease and butter. Cook until golden brown and fork tender.

    Reduce the heat to low. Add the minced garlic. Stir and cook for 1 minute,

    Add the cooked chopped bacon back to the skillet with the brusels sprouts. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Drizzle with the maple syrup and toss to coat.
