How to Make Brussels Sprouts in Lemon Sauce
- Trim the ends off the Brussels sprouts and remove loose outer leaves. If they are large, cut them in half. Cook the Brussels sprouts in boiling water for 5-6 minutes, or until tender. Remove from the pan and place in a serving dish. Set aside and keep them warm.
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add the mayonnaise, lemon juice and celery salt. Cook, stirring constantly with a whisk until the mixture is smooth and thoroughly heated. DO NOT BOIL!
- Pour the sauce over the Brussels sprouts. Sprinkle with cheese and almonds. Enjoy!
