  • 1 qt
    brussel sprouts
  • 1 small
    granny smith apples
  • 4 slice
    thick cut peppered bacon
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    red wine vinegar
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make brussel sprouts


  1. wash sprouts, cut in halces and core. slice the haves into ribbons and set aside.
  2. wash and peel apple. dice fairly small.
  3. fry bacon until well crisp. remove with slotted spoon when cool, crumble. in remaing fat, fry the apple til tender-crisp and then add shredded sprouts. cook until sprouts and apple are tender, stir in vinegar. season to taste and stir in or sprinkle crumbled bacon on sprouts.
