The cheesy broiled topping for this recipe was inspired by a local restaurant's recipe for cheesy garlic bread. I tried this for my children, nieces and nephews to get them to eat Cauliflower and Broccoli...they love it. Of course, it's wonderful for cheesy garlic bread to serve with a main course salad. All I can tell you is; everything is good with this broiled topping on it.

Ingredients

  • 1 large cauliflower, head
  • 2 cups parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 1 dash paprika

How To Make broiled cheesy cauliflower

  • Step 1
While a large pot of salted water heats to a boil; trim the stock and leaves careful to leave the whole cauliflower in tact.
  • Step 2
Place the whole cauliflower head in salted water with tight fitting lid and simmer until fork tender but not falling apart. Drain very well and transfer to an oven safe casserole or bowl.
  • Step 3
Press or finely mince garlic and mix with the remaining topping ingredients except for the paprika. Adjust the amount of Mayo or Cheese to make this a thick but spreadable paste.
  • Step 4
Gently cover the entire head of cauliflower with the cheesy topping. Sprinkle with paprika and place under the hot broiler until bubbly and golden...makes a beautiful looking side dish.
