  • 1/4 cup white miso
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon hot water
  • 1 pound asparagus, bottom stalks trimmed
  • olive oil and salt

How To Make broiled asparagus with miso and ginger

  • Step 1
    Mix the miso, garlic, ginger, lime juice, and hot water until the miso is dissolved. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    Turn on the broiler and place the asparagus on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt.
  • Step 3
    Place the oven rack about 6 inches from the heat. Broil the asparagus about 3 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Remove from the heat and toss into the miso mixture. Broil again for another 3 to 5 minutes. Turning once.
