Ingredients
- 1 bunch broccoli broken into florets and trimed.
- 7 tablespoons butter melted
- 3 large egg yolks
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon room temp butter
- 1/4 teaspoon each salt, white pepper and ground sichuan peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon each grated ginger and grated lemon zest
How To Make broccoli with asian inspired hollandaise sauce

Step 1Mix the salt, sichuan peppercorns, white pepper ginger and lemon zest together and set aside.

Step 2Place a pan big enough to hold the broccoli on the stove. Add some salt and bring it to a rolling boil. Add the broccoli and lower heat to a simmer.

Step 3In another pan whisk the egg yolks and 1 tbsp of room temp butter and 1 tbsp lemon juice. Whisk over the top of the boiling broccoli until it becomes pale yellow and thickened. Remove from heat and whisk in the melted butter. Stir in the remaining lemon juice and the seasoning mixture.

Step 4Drain the broccoli and serve the hollandaise on top. Serve immediately
