Great side dish. I make this at Easter!

Ingredients

  • 2 - heads of fresh broccoli chopped
  • 1 - small red onion diced
  • 1 pound cooked bacon crumbled
  • 1 1/4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup hellman's light mayonaise

How To Make broccoli salad

  • Step 1
    chop broccoli into tiny pieces.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl add broccoli, onion, bacon, cheese and raisins.
  • Step 3
    In a separate bowl, mix vinegar, sugar and mayo. Stir dressing until well blended.
  • Step 4
    Pour dressing over broccoli mixture and stir.
  • Step 5
    Refrigerate at least 4 hours. It is best if you can regrigerate overnight. This recipe does not yield a really runny salad like some similar recipes do. When you are ready to serve, toss it and garnish with a bit of shredded cheese.
