broccoli rice casserole
I have been making this every Thanksgiving and Christmas since I found this recipe in a church cookbook in 1981. This is one of my families favorite side dishes at the Holiday dinner table.

Ingredients
- 1 package frozen chopped broccoli
- 1 cup rice
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1 - medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1 jar cheese whiz (small jar)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
How To Make broccoli rice casserole

Step 1Cook broccoli according to package directions and drain well. Cook the cup of rice. Melt the butter and saute onion and celery. Mix broccoli, rice, onion and celery; add cheese whiz and undiluted soup. Put in small casserole dish; bake in a 350 degree oven, uncovered for 30 minutes.
