My mom's friend would make this every year . I love them , to me they are better than any store bought. It will take you most of the afternoon but so worth it ..

Ingredients
- 8 cups thinly sliced cucumbers
- 2 cups thinly sliced onions
- 4 - green peppers , finely chopped
- 2 cups vinegar
- 3 cups brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons celery seed
- 2 teaspoons tumeric powder
- 2 sticks cinnamon
How To Make bread & butter pickels

Step 1Let cucumbers, onions etc. stand in salt water for 1 hour.

Step 2Drain and cook 20 mins. in vinegar mixture

Step 3Place in clean hot jars to seal ..(If you boil the lids and rings then put them on jars and turn upside down .They should all seal ) Make sure the lip of jar is whipped off before putting the ring on

Step 4I have been able to keep these on the sheft for two years .Just make sure thier sealed before you store them
