brandy's okra salad
We cannot have a family get-together without this salad. My children really don't care what is served as long as Mom made a double batch for carry out... lol. Great warm or cold. Goes with anything, however, my fave is beans and cornbread with a tall glass of Texas tea.

Ingredients
- 1 - family size bag stillwells breaded okra
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes halved
- 1 medium purple onion diced
- 1 medium green bell pepper diced
- 1 pound bacon cooked and chopped
- - salt/pepper
How To Make brandy's okra salad

Step 1Cook bacon in oven until crisp but not hard. Place on cutting board and chop. Set aside.

Step 2Fry okra and lay out on paper towel lined cookie sheet. Cool slightly.

Step 3In a large bowl layer everything as follows: okra/onion/bacon/tomatoes/and a little salt. Do this until all the items are used and you are ready to serve. You can use a little of the bacon grease on top if you choose, but not much.
