black butter sauce over steamed asparagus
While browsing through some of my Grammie's cookbooks I came across a section of sauces. This one was under the title of simple butter sauces and it said to glorify vegetables, fish or eggs, and pasta. So, since I had some asparagus that I needed to cook and my husband & I both like breakfast for dinner I decided to make this sauce. It is so easy and did give a zip to the asparagus and eggs. Thought I would share this super easy recipe. I added a little minced garlic too. It was delish!

Ingredients
- 1 bunch fresh steamed asparagus
- BLACK BUTTER SAUCE
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice
- - dash of salt and pepper
- - can add chopped garlic or capers
How To Make black butter sauce over steamed asparagus

Step 1Steam your broccoli or this would be great on fish too. Let 1/3 cup butter bubble in small saucepan until it's a golden brown. Pour in 1 tbsp. vinegar or lemon juice and let foam up. Add a dash of salt and pepper and serve at once.
