I wanted coleslaw with a little more substance, so I added the black beans. My hubby really likes it!

    coleslaw mix
  • 1 can(s)
    black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 3/4 c
  • 2 Tbsp
    sweet relish
  • 1/4 c
    red wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic pepper
  • 1/8 tsp

How to Make Black Bean Coleslaw


  1. Put coleslaw mix into large bowl. Add rinsed and drained black beans, mayonnaise, sweet relish and red wine vinegar. Mix together until slaw is coated.
  2. Sprinkle sugar, garlic pepper and cumin over slaw and stir well.
  3. Cover and chill for 45 minutes. Stir well before serving.
