Beets are really healthy for you. We enjoy them year round. I like to serve this when I have company as most have never made them this way. Elegant enough for a special dinner or holiday fare!

Ingredients

  • 2-16 oz. cans sliced beets, drained
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar

How To Make beets in orange sauce

  • Step 1
    In a medium saucepan, combine the cornstarch, brown sugar, and salt; gradually whisk in the orange juice and the apple cider vinegar.
  • Step 2
    Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until thickened and bubbly.
  • Step 3
    Add drained beets and cook over medium heat until thoroughly heated.
  • Step 4
    Serve in a pretty glass serving dish.
