Ingredients
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 2 - egg yolks
- 3/4 cup beer
- 2 large white onions, sliced 1/4 inch thick
- - oil for deep frying
How To Make beer-batter onion rings

Step 1Mix the flour, salt, pepper, oil and yolks together.

Step 2Gradually whisk in the beer.

Step 3Refrigerate the batter 3 1/2 hours to rest before using.

Step 4Slice onions, and dip them in the batter.

Step 5Deep-fry in 375 degree oil until golden brown.

Step 6This batter also works well on other vegetables besides onion rings--and it\'s great on fish, too.
