Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 1-2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • - diced onions, optional
  • - salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1-2 teaspoon high grade balsamic vinegar

How To Make balsamic vinegar green beans

  • Step 1
Trim the ends of the green beans and cut them in half.
  • Step 2
In a large deep skillet, saute garlic, salt, and pepper in olive oil. If using onions, add them now. Cook on medium-high, stirring constantly, so the garlic does not burn.
  • Step 3
When the garlic is toasty, add the green beans and stir.
  • Step 4
    Add the balsamic vinegar.
  • Step 5
Cook until almost to your liking (crisp-tender). Stir frequently.
  • Step 6
Add 1/4 to 1/3 cup of water.
  • Step 7
Put a lid on and turn off the heat, but don't remove the pan from the burner. Just let it sit there for 4-5 minutes. Taste to see if it needs more seasoning and add a little more of the balsamic vinegar.
