baked squash, grandma w
Grandma used to make this as a special snack at night, or sometimes as a side dish for supper. Either way, yum!

How To Make baked squash, grandma w
-
Step 1Cut the squash in half so the stem parts hold it together. Clean out seeds, but leave the squash in it's peel. Put it onto a cookie sheet lined with tin foil (and make a little fold over edge all the way around to catch the butter as the squash cooks), add butter and bake in the oven until done. Grandma started at 350 degrees, but it depended on how big the squash was as to how long it took. Remove cookie sheet from oven, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mix, and brown sugar if you want more sweetness.
