This is one of my most requested potluck recipes. Even those who say they don't like sauerkraut enjoy this!

Ingredients

  • 2-1/2 cup shredded sauerkraut, drained
  • 2 cups stewed tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 cup brown sugar

How To Make baked sauerkraut

  • Step 1
    Fry bacon until crisp; crumble and set aside. In bacon drippings, saute onion until transparent.
  • Step 2
    Combine all ingredients in baking dish and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
