  • 6 large
  • 1/4 c
    light margarine
  • 1/2 c
    lowfat sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 3 Tbsp
    brown sugar, light
  • ·
  • ·
    parsley, for garnish, if desired

How to Make Baked Onions


  1. Rinse unpeeled onions; cut off the hard root and the dry top. Place in a foil-covered pan and bake at 375 F. for 1-1/2 hours.
  2. Remove from oven and slide off skins. Place in oven-proof dish.
  3. Combine margarine, sour cream, lemon juice and brown sugar; mix well. Spread sour cream mixture over onions. Sprinkle with paprika and return to oven briefly to heat sauce.
  4. Sprinkle with parsley to garnish before serving.
