Quick to throw together and awesome in a veggy and cheesey way- a sneaky way to get the kids to eat their veggies and since they are baked and not fried (even tho they taste like it), they are healthy also!

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp
    canola oil
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1/2 medium
    onion, chopped
  • 1 bag(s)
    (12oz) frozen broccoli, thawed and squeezed to remove water
  • 3/4 c
    panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 c
    sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 c
    parmesan cheese
  • 2 large
    eggs, beaten
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt
  • 1/16 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    old bay seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic powder

How to Make Baked Broccoli Cheese Patties

Step-by-Step

  1. Line a cookie sheet with foil, lightly grease the foil.
  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  3. Heat oil in a small pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic, onions and dash salt and pepper. Saute' til onions and garlic are tender; set aside to cool.
  4. Put broccoli into large bowl and add onion/garlic mix. Stir gently.
  5. Add cheeses and egg and mix.
  6. Add panko bread crumbs, garlic powder, Old Bay and salt and pepper. Mix again gently and then form into patties.
  7. Place on prepared baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees on one side til brown, 15 mins. Turn over and bake for 15 additional minutes, browning the other side. Enjoy!
