My family and friends will ask me to bring my baked beans to our get-togethers. I also like to make them for our backyard cookouts and holidays.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 cans baked beans, 16 oz each
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1/4-1/2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1-2 tablespoon honey
  • 1-2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 pound bacon
  • - salt, to taste
  • - pepper, to taste
  • - garlic powder, to taste

How To Make baked beans with bacon

To get crispier bacon, place the beans under your broiler for 3-4 more minutes. Just keep your eye on the beans so the bacon doesn't burn.
  • Mixing together all of the ingredients except the bacon.
    Step 1
    Place your beans in a bowl. Add chopped onions, brown sugar, ketchup, barbecue sauce, honey, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, and garlic. Mix well.
  • Beans poured into a baking dish with bacon laid on top.
    Step 2
    Next, add your ingredients to your baking dish. Lay the uncooked bacon across the top of the beans.
  • Baking the beans in the oven.
    Step 3
    Bake at 350 F for 35-40 minutes until beans are bubbling and bacon is done.
