Ingredients
- 3 - acorn squash
- 2 cups applesauce
- 1/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/3 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons butter
How To Make baked acorn squash with applesauce filling

Step 1Cut the squash in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds and membranes. Place the squash, cut side up, in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish. Add boiling water to the dish to a depth of 1 inch.

Step 2Combine the applesauce and the next 4 ingredients; stir well. Spoon into the acorn squash shells. Dot with the butter.

Step 3Cover and bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Remove cover, and bake an additional 25 minutes or until the squash is tender.
