- hickory smoked bacon, sliced into bite sized pieces
- onion, diced
- 3 clove
- garlic minced
- 1 lb
- fresh green beans, cut into bite sized pieces
- ham hock, smoked
- salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Bacon And Onion Green Beans
- 4Add pepper, and just a little salt. The bacon grease and ham hock will add some smoky-salty flavor.
- 5Cook until green beans are tender about 30 minutes. Add butter and allow to melt. Taste for seasoning. When serving sprinkle the bacon pieces over the top. Enjoy with all of your favorite Southern dishes, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn bread - good eaten my friends!
