When the green beans are ready to be picked - this is one of my go-to recipes. Green beans and bacon are a perfect match. The ham hock gives the beans a smoky flavor that just gets better with time. I like to sprinkle the bacon pieces over the top. They add a nice crispy touch to the tender green beans. You can easily double or triple the recipe if you have a large family or a get together. Everyone will love them!
