aunt effie's bean and corn casserole
Many years ago, someone in the family collected recipes from descendants of my great grandparents, William M. and Florence E. (Snodgrass) Whaley and had them compiled into a cookbook. I am posting those recipes here so that they will not be lost. This recipe was submitted by my Great Aunt Effie.

Ingredients
- 1 can french style green beans, drained
- 1 can shoe peg corn, drained
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese
- 1 can cream of celery soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup crushed cracker crumbs
How To Make aunt effie's bean and corn casserole

Step 1Mix green beans, corn, onion, celery, bell pepper, cheese, soup and sour cream together well and place in a buttered baking dish.

Step 2Melt 1 stick butter and mix with 1 cup crushed cracker crumbs.

Step 3Spread buttered cracker crumbs over mixture and bake 40 minutes at 350°F.
