This is a recipe I am posting for Susie's World Tour event for the Amish region of the tour. This is a recipe from my cookbook called "Amish Cooking", compiled by a Committee of Amish Women, Deluxe Edition, that I changed to be more easily followed.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed corn (preferably from fresh corn on the cob)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup cracker crumbs (you can substitute flour, but less tasty/texture)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • - milk to moisten as needed
  • - salt and pepper to taste

How To Make amish crushed corn fritters

  • Step 1
    Combine all the above ingredients and mix them well. Form mixture into walnut size balls and deep fry them in fat.
