  • 3 large
    green tomatoes
  • 1 bunch
    green onions
  • 4 medium
    yellow squash
  • 2 lb
    okra, fresh
  • ·
    shortening for frying
  • ·
    flour for coating

How to Make Vegetable Medley


  1. slice tomatoes and then quarter them, cut up green onions, slice squash, and cut okra
  2. coat vegetables in a large bowl with flour, salt and pepper to taste
  3. melt shortening in skillet
  4. add vegetable mixture, and fry....stirring to get an even browning
