Ingredients

  • 2 small
heads broccoli - i buy 2 in a package - chopped or i sliced mine on my mandolin
  • 1/4 c
    raisins
  • 1/4 c
    sliced or slivered almonds
  • 1/2 c
    dried cranberries
  • 1 small
    red onion, diced fine
  • 5
    baby carrots, shredded
  • DRESSING

  • 1/2 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1/8 c
each - rice wine vinegar & sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    celery seed
  • 1/4 tsp
    each salt and pepper

How to Make The Best Broccoli Slaw

Step-by-Step

  1. In a bowl, toss the broccoli, carrots, raisins, onions, cranberries.
  2. In a small bowl whisk the dressing ingredients together.
  3. Pour dressing over broccoli mixture and toss to coat well. If slaw is too dry for you, make another 1/2 recipe of dressing...
  4. Refrigerate until ready to serve. You can leave out the almonds and stir them in right before serving, to maintain their crunch.

If making for a party, I would double this recipe...it won't last long.
