succulent roasted acorn squash

Ingredients
- 1 - acorn squash
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- salt - & pepper to taste
How To Make succulent roasted acorn squash

Step 1Slice your squash evenly in half. Cut the bottom of reach half ( the skin ) so it will sit upright on your baking sheet.

Step 2Remove the seeds.

Step 3Preheat oven to 450 degree F. Line a baking sheet with foil. Place the seeded squash on baking sheet. In the center of each squash halve, add 1 tablespoon of butter, 1/2 tsp nutmeg and 1 tablespoon brown sugar.

Step 4Place in oven and bake for at least 1 hour or until fork tender. During baking, occasionally baste the rim of squash. Serve with more butter, salt & pepper or even more brown sugar. Delicious!
