7medium mashed yellow squash
2medium chopped onions
1 can(s)finely diced water chestnuts
1 can(s)cream of chicken soup
18 oz container of sour cream
2- 6 ozred box of chicken flavored stove top stuffing
How to Make Squash Casserole
- Slice squash & onions, boil until tender. Drain & mash. Add chopped up chestnuts. Mix in soup, sour cream and add about 2 teaspoons of salt. Mix very well.
- Prepare your stove top stuffing according to the box preparations. Melt butter and pour in the bottom of your cooking dish. Put a layer of the stuffing in the bottom of your cooking dish.
- Fill squash mixture in on top of the layer of stuffing. Put another layer of stuffing on top. Bake for one hour @ 350 degrees or until the top is golden brown.
