  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 large
    onion, diced or slivered
  • 4 slice
    bacon cut into small pieces
  • 2 can(s)
    pork and beans
  • 1 Tbsp
    dark molasses or brer rabbit syrup
  • 1 Tbsp
    yellow mustard
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    morton's nature's seasonings
  • 1 lb
    link german sausage (optional)
  • 2 dash(es)
    tobasco sauce (if you are feeling frisky)

How to Make Spank yo' Momma Pork and Beans


  1. saute onion and bacon pieces in olive oil until tender
    Add both cans of pork and beans
  2. bring to a simmer and then add molasses/syrup, mustard, ketchup, chili powder, nature's seasonings
  3. simmer for 5 minutes to let all the flavors mingle and mix
  4. If you want a little more substantial dish, add the german sausage cut into 1/2 inch links and the optional tobasco sauce
