- 1 box frozen chopped spinach, thawed
- 2 tablespoons bacon grease
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
How To Make southern sauteed spinach

Step 1In a small frypan, heat bacon grease over medium heat. Squeeze out about half of the liquid from thawed spinach. Add it to pan and add all other ingredients on top. Stir to combine well, and sautee while stirring frequently until spinach is hot. Turn heat to low and simmer a few minutes until liquid is gone.
