    dry pinto beans
  • 2 slice
    bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp

How to Make Pinto Beans


  1. Look through he bean to be sure there are no rocks. Also remove broken pieces.
  2. Place all ingredients in a large pot. Cover with water.
  3. Bring to a boil. Lower the heat slightly and simmer the beans until done, about an hour. Stir occasionally.
  4. Add water during cooking if needed.
