pam's green bean almondine
My sister-In-law, Pam, makes this dish that I truly love. She was kind enough to share her recipe with me. It's so simple with only a few ingredients, is absolutely delicious and you can easily double the recipe. Thanks, Pam. 6/21/14

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic (use more or less)
- 2 tablespoons almonds, slivered (use more or less)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (approximate amt)
- 1 - thin pat butter
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 medium can french-style green beans
- - salt & pepper or lemon pepper
How To Make pam's green bean almondine
-
Step 1Sauté minced garlic and almonds in olive oil and butter on medium to low heat being careful to not scorch.
-
Step 2Open and drain the beans. Now add a splash of lemon juice then the drained beans to the pan. Continue cooking until warmed through and flavors have time to marinate, about 20 to 30 minutes or so.
-
Step 3NOTE: Pam and I slightly chop the slivered almonds but that's your choice. She also cooks this in an electric skillet at times, which keeps it warm until ready to serve..
