my own broccoli salad

This is such a huge hit I usually have no left overs to bring home

Ingredients

  • 1-2 bunch broccoli chopped
  • 2 cups chopped cucumber
  • 4 stalks celery chopped
  • 1 large apple chopped
  • 8 ounces cranraisins
  • 8 ounces cheese, shredded
  • 8 ounces nuts, i prefer smoked but any will do, i also put in more than one
  • 1 package fried and crumbled bacon
  • DRESSING:
  • 2 cups mayo
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan

How To Make my own broccoli salad

  • Step 1
    Mix all dressing ingredients well. Let set in fridge while preparing salad ingredients. May add salt and pepper, garlic, onion, any spices you like I like curry in mine
  • Step 2
    Fry up bacon and crumble, chop all veggies. If using large nuts like pecans, almonds, filberts or walnuts may want to break them up.
  • Step 3
    Mix both together well and chill until ready to serve. I usually don't add the dressing until ready to serve as I prefer my bacon crispy.
