~ my awesome sprouts ~
My family absolutely loved these sprouts. I wanted to try something different so I sliced them, which made the cooking process so much quicker. I caramelized them with shallots and then finished cooking them through with some added chicken broth. Delicious! I'll be making these quite often. Enjoy!

How To Make ~ my awesome sprouts ~
-
Step 1Slice sprouts, shallots and mince garlic.
-
Step 2In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter until frothy. Add the olive oil. Spread out the sliced sprouts evenly into the hot pan - add shallots, seasonings, Worcestershire sauce and saute for 2 - 3 minutes to caramelize. Flip sprouts with spatula to other side and saute until caramelizing.
-
Step 3Add the bacon bits, stir and cook another minute. Next the garlic. Stir. Saute another minute tossing occasionally.
-
Step 4Add the broth and cook just long enough until sprouts are tender. Sprinkle with almonds and serve. My family just loved the nutty, buttery taste of these sprouts. I will be making again.
