Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds brussel sprouts (use the fresh) and you can use more depending on how many people you are cooking for
- 6 slices bacon (keep the drippings)
- 1/2 stick butter, melted
- - salt & pepper to taste
- - maple syrup
How To Make maple brussel sprouts
-
Step 1Cook your bacon (we like it crispy) and reserve the drippings. Clean and cut brussel sprouts (lengthwise) Place on a cookie sheet with sides to keep in the butter and drippings. Pour the butter and pan drippings over the sprouts and season to taste with s&p. Toss to coat well. Place in a pre-heated oven 375 for 25 minutes. I like to slow roast so they don't get too done. (or can be done in 400 degree oven for 20 minutes) They are done when fork tender and lightly browned. Once out of the oven add crumbled bacon and drizzle with maple syrup (just a drizzle, you want it as a background taste)
