green bean casserole

I love the little crunch you get from the waterchesnuts, they really set this dish apart! And of course who doesn't love a bit of bacon with their beans!

Ingredients

  • 3-4 cans french style green beans
  • 1 can whole waterchesnuts, drained and diced into small cubes
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can french fried onions

How To Make green bean casserole

  • Step 1
    Drain green beans and waterchesnuts in colander until all of the liquid has drained off.
  • Step 2
    Dice up water chesnuts into small cubes
  • Step 3
    Mix soup, green beans and water chesnuts together in a bowl.
  • Step 4
    Transfer green bean mixture into a 2 quart casserole.
  • Step 5
    Crumble crisply cooked bacon and french fried onions and sprinkle over the top! It's delicious!
  • Step 6
    Bake uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
