3 can(s)whole green beans
1/2onion, sliced thin
1 Tbspcider vinegar
3-4strips of bacon
1 tspgarlic salt
·salt and pepper to taste
How to Make "Good Green Beans"
- Cut bacon into about 1" squares (say 4-5 pieces per slice)
Place in medium size sauce pan and cook, stirring so it won't burn.
Add thinly sliced onion, continue cooking bacon and onion for a few minutes.
- Pour vinegar over bacon and onion, let cook for a about 2 minutes.
Drain 2 cans of beans and leave the juice in the 3rd can.
Add to sauce pan.
- Add: garlic salt, sugar, salt and pepper. Turn beans with large spoon, try not to chop them up.
Turn fire down and let simmer about 30 minutes.
