Ingredients
- 1 bag (12 oz.) frozen okra, thawed
- 1 cup yellow corn meal
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 cup milk
- - oil for deep frying
How To Make fried okra

Step 1Mix together flour and cornmeal. Season with salt and pepper to taste

Step 2soak the okra milk, then dredge in flour-cornmeal mixture.

Step 3Place okra in deep hot oil and fry on medium-high heat until golden brown. Stir occasionally so all sides get browned.

Step 4Drain on a wire rack or paper towel. Sprinkle with just a small pinch more of salt.
