3 coil for frying
1 call purpose flour
1 tspbaking powder
1/2 tspsalt (or less to taste)
1-3 tspsugar (based on how sweet you like your fritters)
1egg, beaten lightly
1 Tbspbutter, melted
2 mlears of corn, kernels cut off or a 12 ounce can/bag of frozen corn
·honey for drizzling on finished fritters, optional
How to Make Corn Fritters
- In a deep frying pan, heat a couple Inches of oil to 365.
- In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients until just mixed.
- Drop batter by teaspoon-tablespoonfuls into hot oil. Allow to fry until golden on one side then turn to cook other side. Roughly 2 minutes on each side. Tip: a chopstick makes a great tool for turning the fritters.
- Drain on paper towels and drizzle with a little honey. Serve warm.
