I love cabbage, it's cheep, it's good and it's versatile. Plus it feeds a lot of people. Cabbage is one of my go-to items because I always have some. Besides it goes with any meat dish that I'm cooking

Ingredients
- 2 pounds bacon, diced
- 2 medium bell peppers, diced (any color)
- 2 medium onions, diced
- 10 to12 large mushrooms, diced
- 4 stalks celery, diced
- 4 medium carrots, diced
- 2 medium heads of green cabbage, sliced
How To Make carrie's fried cabbage

Step 1In a large Dutch oven, fry bacon until crisp over medium heat. Remove bacon with slotted spoon. Set aside.

Step 2Add all the rest of the ingredients except cabbage. Sauté in bacon grease.

Step 3When soft, add cabbage and bacon and continue cooking until cabbage is tender.
