bacon, diced
2 medium
bell peppers, diced (any color)
2 medium
onions, diced
10 to12 large
mushrooms, diced
4 stalk(s)
celery, diced
4 medium
carrots, diced
2 medium
heads of green cabbage, sliced

How to Make Carrie's Fried Cabbage

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a large Dutch oven, fry bacon until crisp over medium heat. Remove bacon with slotted spoon. Set aside.
  • 2Add all the rest of the ingredients except cabbage. Sauté in bacon grease.
  • 3When soft, add cabbage and bacon and continue cooking until cabbage is tender.
