This is a great vegetable side dish, with a wonderful Asian flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sugar snap peas, trimmed
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 dashes (or drops) chili oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

How To Make asian sugar snap peas

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven broiler, and move rack to top position.
  • Step 2
    Place the snap peas in a baking dish, and drizzle olive oil and garlic on top, and toss to coat. Spread the snap peas in a single layer. Broil the snap peas about 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Meanwhile, mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, chili oil, brown sugar, and sesame seeds in a large bowl. When snap peas are removed from the oven, toss them immediately with the sauce.
