Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    sugar snap peas, trimmed
  • 3 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 2 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 1/4 c
    low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp
    sesame oil
  • 2 dash(es)
    (or drops) chili oil
  • 1/4 tsp
    brown sugar, packed
  • 2 Tbsp
    toasted sesame seeds

How to Make Asian Sugar Snap Peas

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven broiler, and move rack to top position.
  2. Place the snap peas in a baking dish, and drizzle olive oil and garlic on top, and toss to coat. Spread the snap peas in a single layer. Broil the snap peas about 5 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, chili oil, brown sugar, and sesame seeds in a large bowl. When snap peas are removed from the oven, toss them immediately with the sauce.
