A different twist on plain old broccoli. This recipe has an Asian twist to it. My whole family loved it. I hope yours does as well.

  • 2
    heads, fresh broccoli or about 5 - 6 cups - stems removed and broke into flourets
  • 2 Tbsp
    + 2 teaspoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 c
    melted, butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    + 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    minced, garlic
  • salt
    & pepper to taste

How to Make ~ Asian Inspired Broccoli ~


  1. Remove hard stalks from broccoli and break into individual florets.
  2. In a bowl, mix the melted butter, soy sauce, garlic and brown sugar. Mix well so that the brown sugar is dissolved.
  3. Place Broccoli into a microwave safe bowl. Pour mixture over broccoli.
  4. Cover with saran wrap and place in microwave.

    Cook for 6 - 8 minutes or until tender.
  5. Toss well with liquid in bottom of bowl.

    Salt & pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
