~ asian inspired broccoli ~

A different twist on plain old broccoli. This recipe has an Asian twist to it. My whole family loved it. I hope yours does as well. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 - heads, fresh broccoli or about 5 - 6 cups - stems removed and broke into flourets
  • 2 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup melted, butter
  • 1 tablespoon + 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon minced, garlic
  • salt - & pepper to taste

How To Make ~ asian inspired broccoli ~

  • Step 1
    Remove hard stalks from broccoli and break into individual florets.
  • Step 2
    In a bowl, mix the melted butter, soy sauce, garlic and brown sugar. Mix well so that the brown sugar is dissolved.
  • Step 3
    Place Broccoli into a microwave safe bowl. Pour mixture over broccoli.
  • Step 4
    Cover with saran wrap and place in microwave. Cook for 6 - 8 minutes or until tender.
  • Step 5
    Toss well with liquid in bottom of bowl. Salt & pepper to taste. Serve immediately. Delish!
