Everyone in my family loves this dish. It adds a great flavor to sweet peas. My nieces and nephews who do not eat sweet peas really loved this dish.

Ingredients For sweet pea casserole

  • 1 can
    cream of celery soup
  • 1 can
    sweet peas
  • 1 pkg
    french fried onions
  • 1 pkg
    oscar myer bacon bits and pieces
  • 1 pkg
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 c
    water

How To Make sweet pea casserole

    Use a 8x8 baking dish, add the cream of celery soup and the 1/2 cup of water mix well.

    Drain 1/2 of the water out of the sweet peas and then fold them in the soup mixture. Add the small can of French's French fried onions and mix well. Stir in 1/2 of the package of bacon bits or all of it, it depends on how much you want. Put it in a 350 degree oven and bake for 30 minutes. After you bake it for 30 minutes bring it back out and add the cheese and bake until cheese is melted.
