Ingredients

  • 3 cups mashed, cooked sweet potatoes or 1 large can (29 ounces) and 1 small can (16 ounces) sweet potatoes, drained and mashed
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 - eggs. well beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/3 cup milk or heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • TOPPING
  • 2 cups rice krispies
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

How To Make different sweet potato casserole

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, combine sweet potatoes, sugar, eggs, milk or cream, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg; mix thoroughly.
  • Step 2
    Place in a greased 9 X 13 inch casserole dish or a 2 1/2 quart greased casserole dish.
  • Step 3
    TOPPING: In another bowl, combine Rice Krispies, nuts, butter and brown sugar, stirring until crumbly. Sprinkle over sweet potato mixture.
  • Step 4
    Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
