Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups coarsely crushed corn flakes
  • 1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
  • 4 1/2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

How To Make cheesey cabbage casserole

  • Step 1
    Toss cornflakes with butter. Sprinkle one half into a greased 9 x 13 baking dish. Layer with cabbage, onion, salt and pepper.
  • Step 2
    Preheat oven to 350.
  • Step 3
    In a bowl, combine soup, milk, and mayo till smooth. Spoon over the cabbage mixture. Cover and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Remove cover and top with cheese and remaining corn flakes. Bake an additional 15 to 20 minutes or till golden brown.
